You have to consider that I am always playing against Blair in Scrabble. Honestly, he cheats! Even if he says he doesn’t, he does. I never can win against him!
Apparently, the definition of cheat has changed. The word now means: to use the extensive vocabulary one has acquired through years of voracious reading to soundly thwart one’s spouse in a crossword-based board game.
Who knew?
HEYYY Miss Miranda! Your blog looks great! I’m glad you got one!
I told you Blair cheats! He is making up definitions!
The only time I have ever cheated was when I padded her score so that she could win the occasional game.
[…] Okay, Miranda did it on her blog, so I guess I need to try as well. Simply writing my own version of her 40 things would be cheating, and no matter what she might say… I don’t cheat. […]
I am glad you are bloggin’ that adds more things to do on my list — read blogs — all 3-4 of them that I keep up with!! hehe — I love this 40 things — i am with about the flip flops and yoga pants — I do live in them
and we rock out on the minivan too — Eli said this morning as we were pulling into the rave — mom turn down the radio so my
friends want hear us singin’ –I want disclose what we were singing — but we were rocking — he was singin’ the boys part and I got to be the gal!!!
Girl, you have got to update us more often on your blog so that we can keep up with the Walker clan!
Dear Miranda,
You feel you don’t have any talent? No way!
You most DEFINITELY have a gift for writing. I would not be at all surprised to see you publish a book one day. Your heart for your children and your picture painting of everyday life comes through and touches cords that all who’ve ever given birth can relate to!
Like you, I am crazy over coffee (lattes, breves, anything…doesn’t matter!), love disco music, feel I need to exercise more, dislike sports, love to scrapbook but hardly ever make time for it, am a mom of two, and prefer “keeping life real” to hypocrisy ESPECIALLY in the church. Life’s too short to keep playing games with something so precious, given by One Who gave up everything to be real with us.
I am praying that you and Blair find the place of worship and service that God meant for you to find. We need more people with a passion for putting relationship above religion. We are humbled to be used of God to be attempting to do so at the church we attend, currently in Prattville.
Hope you don’t mind a little encouragement. Your daughters will cherish memories of the time you have spent with them in their earliest, most impressionable years. You are making a difference that only you can make in their lives.
Love in Christ,
Danna Beale
